Dealing with poor performance

  • Ensure all employees have an up-to-date job description which sets out in some detail their duties and responsibilities. If appropriate, set out the required standards of achievement for each duty.
  • Conduct regular appraisals to assess employee performance.
  • Read both the Acas Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures (“the Acas Code”) and your own company performance review/capability procedure.
